DETAIL PROGRAM

Day1: Arrival Siem Reap - Tuk Tuk Ride TO Ta Prohm - Sunset Quad Bike Adventure (D)

On arrival at Siem Reap International Airport greet by tour guide and driver for a transfer to hotel for check in.

Start with a Tuk Tuk tour to Ta Prohm Temple, one of the area’s most beautiful temples (mid-12th – early 13th century). Intentionally left partially unrestored, massive fig and silk-cotton trees grow through the towers and corridors offering a ‘jungle atmosphere’ and some of the best ‘tree-in-temple’ photo opportunities at Angkor.

Late afternoon experience Quad Adventure (start at 17.15hrs) riding through the villages, rice paddies and the countryside immediately surrounding Siem Reap. Watch the setting sun as it dips below the rice fields. Dinner at local restaurant then return to hotel for overnight.

Day2: Full Day Cycling Temples Tours (B/L/D)

Explore the ancient temples of Angkor by bike after going to the bike shop to pick up a helmet and mountain bike and be briefed about the day’s tour. From there cycle to Angkor Thom, first stopping at the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the mythical tale of the Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Continue to explore the Bayon, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Before lunch cycle through the jungle to visit 4 Prasats Chrong (4 Corner Temples). Stop for picnic lunch at one of the temples.

After lunch continue to Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang. The last stop is Angkor Wat, a World Heritage Site since 1992. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Ride back to hotel for short break, then in the evening transfer by car to Angkor Village Theater for dinner with an Apsara Dance Show. Overnight at hotel.

Day3: FUll Day Jeep Tours To Kulen Mountain (B/L)

In the morning we will pick you up, with our jeep, from your accommodation and inform you about the program of today. About 48 kilometers away from Siem Reap rests the Phnom Koulen National Park. The adventures feeling of going by jeep gives a different view on the authentic Cambodian countryside life style. Phnom Koulen is one of the most scenic and historically significant locations in the area. Phnom Koulen is considered a sacred mountain in Cambodia, of special religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists who come to the mountain in pilgrimage.

Most of our guests consider the reclining Buddha as the highlight of this tour. Then there is an area of Hindu lingas on the riverbed; though nothing as extensive as Kbal Spean. Above one of the most spectacular 2 waterfalls in Cambodia, there are a number of temple sites with carved animal figures. At the base of the falls is a large pool where we can go for a refreshing swim. Later in the afternoon we will head back by taking the outback dirt paths and might even witness dense jungles. In the late afternoon or early evening we will reach your accommodation in Siem Reap.

Day4: Floating Village - City Tours (B/D)

After breakfast drive to the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10km south of Siem Reap.  Take a trip in a traditional wooden boat on Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating villages with floating school, church, hospital... Continue to Artisans D’Angkor, home to the handicraft center, then a quick stop at Wat Thmey, a Killing Field which contains a glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge.

Conclude the tour by visiting the Old Market, a lively outdoor market selling antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel.

O/N: Siem Reap

Day5: Siem Reap - Sambor Prei Kuk - Baray Homestay (B/D)

After breakfast drive to the archeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk, which is dotted with hundreds of pre-Angkorian style temples. Beside temples, the spectacular scenery surrounding this ancient ruin, with a mixture of temples and forest, makes it worthwhile to visit.

We leave Sambor Prei Kuk to Baray Home Stay. Over here we will have a chance explore the local village through pony cart ride. Villagers will teach and show you about the Khmer Noodle Making. Enjoy sunset at countryside by tractor (Kour Yourn). Dinner and experience the traditional Khmer house overnight stay.

O/N: Kampong Thom – Baray Home Stay (Khmer Homestay)

Day6: Baray Homestay - Phnom Penh (B/L)

Enjoy a homemade breakfast with the host family before saying goodbye and heading to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Driving distance is about 3 hours. On the way, we will stop at Skun, known as the Spider Market.

We will reach Phnom Penh around lunch time so we can just go direct to local restaurant for lunch before heading to hotel for check in. After check in take some short rest at hotel to refresh your energy then start your half day tour in Phnom Penh with the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. Continue to Wat Phnom, a small hill crowned by an active Wat (Pagoda) which marks the legendary founding place of Phnom Penh.

O/N: Phnom Penh

Day7: Cycling Tours to Koh Dach (Silk Weaving Village) - City Tours (B/L)

Today cycle about 10km to Koh Dach, taking small ferry across the Mekong River. On the island, cycle to the silk weaving village passing through orchards, villages and vegetable farms to the beach on the banks of the river. Relax and swim and try out local food from the floating hut by the beach or local family. After lunch take a ferry back to Phnom Penh where our car is stand by waiting for you. Transfer you back to hotel for some refreshing or continue your tours.

Afternoon, transfer by car and visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, used as a prison by Pol Pot's security forces, and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Then continue to the notorious Killing Fields "Choeung Ek", 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This is the site of the brutal execution of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom were incarcerated in Tuol Sleng Prison during the Pol Pot regime (1975–1979).
